Day 1: KIGALI
Welcome at the airport, transfer to hotel and check-in History-minded exploration of Kigali with visits to landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide and post-genocide times Overnight at recommended 5*hotel.

Day 2: EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION
Rwanda’s development challenges: Visit to Mayange, the Rwandan Model Village – hands-on experience with the real learning experience in Reconciliation villages. Transfer to Ruhengeri at the outskirts of Volcanoes National Park, Overnight: Gorilla Nest Lodge.

Day 3: GORILLA TREKKING
Morning mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
In the afternoon, Optional visit to the Batwa Cultural Village.
Transfer and Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge – Kinigi.

Day 4: EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION
Community-based tourism in Kinigi for Ethno Botany tours.
Visit to a local association that teaches how to create banana artisanry.
Visit to an orphanage and introduction to the challenges of orphans and street children Return to Kigali.
Overnight: Kivu Serena.

Day 5: KIVU BOAT RIDE
Boat trip to Coffee Islands in Lake Kivu and a guided tour around a major coffee plantation. Performance of traditional dancing

Day 6: VISIT TO CRAFT MARKET
Visit to a crafts markets
